Schoolbook analysis on reading comprehension


This project aims to analyze school books (German and Natural Science) in terms of their contribution to reading comprehension. Text and task analyses are conducted in order to see whether and how reading comprehension is addressed. This analysis is done in Austria and also in seven other European countries as different researchers of the working group one of the ELN (European Literacy Network) are involved.

The results can point in new directions of teaching and school book design.
