Digital? Sicher!
Digital competence training for children and young people
One of the most important skills in the digital age is responsible behavior in dealing with information and communication technologies (IKT). This skill-building should begin in schools in order to give young people a basic digital education with IKT even before they enter the workforce, so that competent action can be built up against cyber-attacks and the training of false routines can be prevented. "Digital? Sicher!" takes up here and wants to develop and evaluate a playful learning app for cybersecurity and data handling awareness trainings for young people in the 9th to the 13th school level.
The two-year project, funded by Land Steiermark, will be carried out by University of Graz (Institute of Education Research and Teacher Education and CSR Center for Social Research) in cooperation with BANDAS (Center for Business Analytics and Data Science), the Know Center (Research Center for Data Driven Businesses & Big Data Analytics) and Logo Jugendmanagement GmbH from 2020 to 2022.
For interessted schools/teacher:
We offer you the chance to participate with your school in the development of this innovative learning app. Your students will be actively involved in the development of the app and in this way learn about the process of developing an app as an additional competence beyond the content taught.
