Empirical educational research
About us
We examine educational processes in different social contexts. Internationality characterizes us as a team and our research. We analyze and interpret developments in education systems based on data, historically, and in international comparison. A particular focus is on school research. We are particularly interested in macrosystemic approaches and questions of quality and impact of pedagogical educational processes, school development, and professionalization.
We conduct our own studies and use data from representative comparative studies. Issues of educational equity and sustainable education in Europe and in (post-)war contexts are of particular importance to us.
