Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS)
The Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study is an international comparative school performance study that aims to identify and examine long-term developments in the education systems of the participating countries. In terms of content, the study focuses on the assessment of pupils' mathematical and scientific skills. Heike Wendt was the national study director in Germany for IGLU/PIRLS&TIMSS 2011, TIMSS 2015, PIRLS 2016 and is a member of the scientific consortium of TIMSS 2015 & 2023 in Germany as well as part of the international expert group for the further development of the survey components of the study (International Questionnaire Development Group).
