Research
The Institute's research and teaching is focused on topics to do with the diversity in society and the consequences for education with a particular interest in institutional contexts (covering pre-school, compulsory and secondary school years) and pedagogical development of teachers. We work with educational, sociological and psychological theories, to test, query and expand on those ideas through our research. We place value on the connections between theory and practice and their relevance for teacher education.
The institute has currently six research units that actively contribute to a variety of dissemination activities and lead or participate in a number of regional, European and international projects.
