Inclusive education and lesson development
We present our Inclusive Education and Teaching Development department in more detail
The Inclusive Education and Teaching Development department deals with issues of inclusion in schools, special educational diagnostics and support, particularly in the case of learning and developmental problems. Working in a multi-professional team (including special education, educational science, psychology/psychotherapy, various teaching qualifications) enables us to take a multi-perspective view of various research topics. We focus on the knowledge, skills and attitudes of teachers in our Inclusive Education and Teaching Development department. We strive to make diagnostic tools, support materials and other products available as openly and digitally as possible. We use controlled individual case research (single case design) as a method for evaluating the effectiveness of individual support measures and participate in its further development in terms of research methodology. The focus is on the level of teaching and interaction with learners. We are committed to the principles of open science and endeavor to plan and carry out our own projects accordingly and make all products available. We support other working groups in this endeavor and conduct meta-scientific studies on open science in inclusive and special education.
